Community: I’m local and building a team
The Lib Dems win when they have a Local Champion, that’s me. I’m part of our local community, but also the wider Liberal Democrat community.

I Am Truly Local
I’m a true part of our local community, you can’t fake that, I attend the village fetes with my kids, I use the parks, I spot the potholes, I go to the local musicals, to the coffee shops, to the events in the local areas. I use the doctors and dentists just like you. You can’t represent a community if you aren’t part of it. I am and I want to fight for our area and the people who live here.
I have two little girls and I feel a deep need to be able to look them in the eyes and say that I am trying to make the world a better place. I can think of no greater motivation.
I Am Building a team
I’ve built a network of members and volunteers who share our vision. From coffee mornings and town council meetings to local socials, we’re creating a team built on trust, friendship, and purpose.

Creative engagement
We’re finding new ways to connect. I’ve forged closer ties with the voters that have previously been left behind, such as students for example at the University for the Creative Arts and brought new voices into the local area through Liberal Democrat run events and initiatives.
Whether it’s through social media, community events, or street stalls, I’m making sure people feel heard and they know it is the Lib Dems who are listening. We need fresh thinking to win here.
I’m bringing together new activists especially those within the Young Liberal Democrats, creating a dedicated group who want to help us win here. We have to build out our supporter and activist base and I’m doing just that.
Building a movement of local champions
I’m uniting the voices that make our area thrive — from NHS staff to teachers, cyclists to environmentalists. I’m meeting the people with real power in our community like police chiefs and working alongside councillors and campaigners.
Together, we’re showing how a Lib Dem MP could amplify local passion into real change. To do that I will spend time with the community leaders and in doing so find activists and campaigners that will help us win.

Action not just words.
Trust in politics is low, and Reform is exploiting that. But when people speak to me, they won’t feel let down, they’ll see I care and want real change.
Every conversation should leave people feeling heard, hopeful, and ready to act. That’s how we rebuild trust, one positive experience at a time.
Through local casework I’m building that local following and making sure people see action. We win hearts and minds when we help out with the local litter picking, the local PTFA, the local flower planting initiative. We can’t just turn up for a photo, we have to turn up and make an impact.
Engaging on issues that matter to the community
I know how local government is run so that I can influence change and help in our campaigns. Being the PPC means you have to help at every level and at every election. I’m ready to fight for our area, our party and for the residents who give us their vote.

No (wo)man is an island
I actively help in other areas to learn best practices and build a greater team of people who will help us win here. This means I have greater insight about how we win, but also have a Lib Dem army ready to support us. It’s about teamwork and as they say, that’s what makes the dream work.
